About

The Dairy N web site provides information and tools for farmers, extension educators, private- and public-sector farm advisors, students, and researchers about the efficient use of nitrogen throughout dairy farm systems. Dairy farms are often comprised of linked enterprises covering crop and soil management, feed storage management, herd management, and manure storage management. The Dairy N site is structured based on those components in order to provide information about making the best use of nitrogen both within and across the farm enterprises.

The web site has been developed by researchers and extension educators at Cornell University (Department of Crop and Soil Sciences and Department of Animal Science), the USDA Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS at Beltsville, MD), and the University of Vermont (Department of Plant and Soil Science). Funding for the project was provided by the Fund for Rural America.
